This module is designed to allow students to explore a range of topics relating to the theory of resuscitation of patients with acute, life-threatening presentations in the emergency, out of hospital setting. It will cover the presentation, underpinning pathophysiology, aetiology, epidemiology and management of those conditions. It is designed to offer the opportunity to explore the theory which underpins clinical paramedic management.
Who is the module for:
Registered paramedics with experience of working in the emergency, out of hospital care setting.
Number of credits and level of study:
30 credits at level 6. The course is also offered as a undergraduate (level 5) award.
