Progression in practice 2 – consolidation (level 7) Apply Progression in practice 2 – consolidation (level 7) It is a useful preparation for further continuing professional development studies. Students taking this module at Level 7 are provided with additional learning sessions on research and literature reviewing for practice. Learning outcomes: Critically reflect on their developing practice and learning as a Social Worker in their employment setting or across organisations. Analyse critically examples of evidence which have underpinned their practice since qualification, evidencing comprehensive use of knowledge and research for social work practice in their field of practice. Evidence reflective and analytic use of the Professional Capability Framework and Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics and other relevant standards and requirements to appraise their professional practice. Identify and evaluate areas for their own professional development as a social worker and articulate a career and professional development plan to develop within the Professional Capabilities Framework for social work. Demonstrate capable social work practice within their area of practice. Who is the module for? Students must be qualified social workers, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, in employment as a social worker and have their employer’s approval and support to undertake this module. Module code: SW7102 Entry criteria: Students should have either completed the assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE) portfolio or have a minimum of 12 months full time post-qualifying experience as a social worker and be able to evidence continuing professional development through an up-to-date professional development plan.
