Study day: Supervision skills

This study day will enable students to:

  • Identify and develop the conditions needed to create and maintain a supervision environment where critical reflection and analysis are valued and supported
  • Develop skills in professional supervision, enabling critical reflection, challenge and evidence-informed decision making in complex situations
  • Be prepared to assess social work practice against the Professional Capabilities Framework and the relevant KSS
  • Consider how to support others in developing good practice and reflective supervision skills
  • Begin to select strategies for enhancing the quality of your work as a supervisor linked to your own professional development needs and develop a plan to address these needs in accordance with the KSS for Practice Supervisors
