MSc Advanced Practice Psychosocial Interventions - hear it from our students and staff
Psychosocial interventions are integral to effective services for people who experience serious mental health problems. We have developed the MSc Advanced Practice Psychosocial Interventions programme in response to new roles and ways of working in practice. It's ideal for any experienced healthcare practitioner who wishes to develop and advance their level of knowledge and skills within their own field.
We interviewed a students and a course lecturer to find out what's special about the course. We also had a chance to catch up with Cath Gamble, Consultant nurse for South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust, who has been instrumental in the development and delivery of the course.
Fore more information and an application form for the MSc Advanced Practice Psychosocial interventions contact the CPD office on cpdpo@sgul.kingston.ac.uk or 020 8725 1755. |

Featured Course: Practice teacher NMC mentor stage 3
The Practice Teacher NMC Mentor Stage 3 course is designed for registrants with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) who are responsible for facilitating the learning and assessment of other professionals. We met with course leader Harry Koolmon for an interview.
Who is this course aimed at?
The course is aimed at qualified nurses and midwives who are already mentors with sign-off authority (meaning that they have done preparatory sessions and are authorised to sign off students for registration and for other specified CPD courses). They must have been qualified for at least two years, and must be qualified in the field in which they will support their students. Additionally, they need to be actively mentoring during their time on the course.
For more information and an application form contact the CPD office on cpdpo@sgul.kingston.ac.uk or 020 8725 1755. |
