Dear colleague,

Welcome to the June issue of CPPD: What's New - outlining the latest news, courses and services offered by the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences.

In this issue, our featured course is 'Developing leadership skills' which will help participants to gain a clearer understanding of leadership in relation to patient care. This course can be offered as a bespoke programme funded through the CPPD contract.

Over the coming months the Faculty is out on the road. We are visiting a number of Trusts and presenting the changes to the pre-registration BSc (Hons) Nursing/Registered Nurse and the new PgDip Nursing/Registered Nurse which has been developed after consultations with services users and the NMC. If you would like to find out more please email Rosie O'Carroll r.ocarroll@sgul.kingston.ac.uk

This month there is also an opportunity for you to come and visit us. On June 18, St George's Hospital will be holding its first ever Community Open Day. You can take part in a history tour, visit our new Heritage Room, and gain access to areas of the hospital not usually open to the general public. Come and along and visit our stands on ground floor, Grosvenor Wing from 10am.

Best wishes,

The CPPD team
