Dear colleague,
Welcome to the September issue of CPPD: What's New - outlining the latest news, courses and services offered by the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences.
In this issue, our featured course is our new Maternal and child health update aimed at community healthcare professionals working with children and families services.
We are also launching our new Foundation degree in Healthcare Practice which is designed for healthcare support workers wishing to develop their skills to the level of assistant/associate practitioner. The programme is based on a work-based learning model, enabling practitoners to develop key transferable skills before specialising in adult care, maternity or peri-operative care. Please see below for details of our open days when staff and potential students can come along and find out more about the programme starting in January.
Our programme of events also begins again for the new term, so check out the details of seminars and conferences coming up.
Best wishes,
The CPD team
