Dr Nan Greenwood publishes research on experiences of ethnic minority carers of people with stroke.

Dr Nan GreenwoodThis project involves interviews and focus groups with carers and requires collaboration with several local voluntary organisations and the stroke unit at St George’s Hospital. The overall aim is to improve carers’ experiences with social care.

Dr Nan Greenwood with colleagues has recently published from her National Institute of Health Research funded study into the experiences of ethnic minority carers of people with stroke. The paper called “Barriers to access and minority ethnic carers’ satisfaction with social care services in the community: a systematic review of qualitative and quantitative literature” is published as a special issue in the journal – Health and Social Care in the Community.
