Kingston University and St Geroge's shortlisted for 14 Nursing Times Student Awards 2016

The School of Nursing has surpassed itself again this year, achieving a record 14 shortlisted entries for the Student Nursing Times Awards 2016, which celebrate excellence in studies and commitment to the healthcare profession.

The nominees include students, staff and our practice partners:

  • Student Nurse of the Year – Children – Elizabeth Ann Ross, Kingston and St George’sNursing Times award nominees 2016
  • Student Nurse of the Year – Learning Disabilities – Lydia Loughran, Kingston and St George’s
  • Student Midwife of the year – Paulina Sporek, Kingston and St George’s
  • Learner of the Year: Post Registration – Daniel Turner, Clinical Health Team for People with Learning Disabilities, London Borough of Sutton and Kingston and St George’s
  • Learner of the Year: Post Registration – Tim Hardiman, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation and Kingston and St George’s
  • Nurse Education Provider of the Year (post-registration) – Kingston and St George’s
  • Mentor of the Year – Amanda Elgar, Epsom & St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and Kingston and St George’s
  • Return to Practice Course of the Year – Kingston and St George’s
  • Partnership of the Year – Preceptorship Model – South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust Kingston and St George’s
  • Partnership of the Year – An Academic Zonal Approach to Student Support in Practice – St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Kingston and St George’s
  • Student Placement of the Year – Community – Haringey Learning Disability Partnership, Kingston and St George’s
  • Student Placement of the Year – Community – The Children’s Trust, Kingston and St George’s
  • Student Placement of the Year – Community – Teddington Walk-in Centre, Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Kingston and St George’s
  • Teaching Innovation of the Year – Mental Health Simulation

The winners of all categories will be announced at the official awards ceremony held on Thursday 28 April 2016.
