More student spaces provide further opportunity for trainee paramedics in the capital

Student ParamsdicsExtra student places for trainee paramedics have been made available on a London degree programme, and applications are now being invited.

The London Ambulance Service has awarded an extra 39 places to the Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science at the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education. This brings the total to 60, with 30 each for the September 2013 and March 2014 intakes.

New applications can be submitted through UCAS’ (the Universities and College Admissions Service) late or Extra application routes. Both new late applications and Extra applications must be received by 30 June. However, potential students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as there is competition for places and the closing date may be brought forward, depending on the volume of applications.

Applicants can state their start date preference of either September or March, although they cannot be guaranteed their choice.

The degree programme is offered by the Centre of Paramedic Science at the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education.
