Our latest Faculty annual report for 2008/09 is now available for review. The report highlights some of our key activities and achievements over the past year.
These include:
- The launch of new Foundation Degrees in Breast Imaging and Long Term Conditions
- Two new MSc programmes in Exercise for Health, and Maternal and Child Health
- The launch of the Centre for Paramedic Science
- Delivery of courses for new international partners including the School of Health Sciences at St Bernard's Hospital, Gibraltar; the Ministry of Health in Brunei; and the Medical Research Council in The Gambia
- Establishment of a new multidisciplinary research centre - Psychology, Health, Inflammation, Respiration and Exercise Research Centre (PHIRE)
- 14 research grants amounting to £6,209,211
- A grant of £290,000 from the Department of Health to support the purchase and installation of a Virtual Environment for Radiotherapy Training (VERT).
