Biography
Geraldine is a therapeutic radiographer who practiced for many years in a variety of settings including St Bartholomew's, The Middlesex, and The Royal Marsden Hospitals and in Jamaica before moving into the educational arena in the mid-1980s.
She is currently principal lecturer and Deputy Head of the School of Radiography in the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences at Kingston University and St George's, University of London, where she is course director for the BSc Hons Therapeutic Radiography.
Geraldine was an editorial board member of the International Journal of Therapy and Rehabilitation until 2005. She is currently a member of the British Institute of Radiology's oncology committee; and the Society and College of Radiographers' prescribing, supply and administration of medicines working party. She was also a member of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency's benchmarking group for professions allied to medicine, 2000–2001.
Interests
Non-medical prescribing; advanced practice for therapeutic radiographers; student attrition and retention; inter-professional education.
