Biography
Laura has a psychology background, having obtained a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Health Psychology. She is currently studying for her MPhil/PhD.
In her present role as Research Associate Laura works alongside Professor Vari Drennan on EVIDEM-C, a study which aims to investigate continence management in people with dementia who live at home with their carers (for further details visit EVIDEM
).
Previous experience of working with older people with mental health problems include roles as care assistant in care homes, research psychologist in a memory clinic, and care manager in older people’s social services.
Prior to joining the Faculty, Laura held a research post at the Institute of Psychiatry investigating patients’ satisfaction with admission processes and experience of acute care.

Dementia care; older people; adult mental health; care relationships; service user perspectives and experiences.
