Biography
Veslemoy Guise is a sociologist with research experience from both the government sector and academic institutions in New Zealand and the UK.
Her past professional research work spans many projects within a variety of disciplines, with topics related to mental health, child protection, women’s rights and higher education, amongst others.
She has also previously worked as a writer, editor and content manager.
Currently, Veslemoy is a research assistant within the Faculty’s School of Nursing, working on several research projects looking into CPD opportunities for mental health nurses. She is based at Springfield University Hospital.
Interests
Lived experiences of health and illness, sociology of health and illness, sociology of the body, sociology of nursing, research methods and methodology, social theory, media and cultural studies.
