David graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2017 with first class honours and was offered a post as reserve team physiotherapist at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. After two years working in professional football he joined the NHS and worked at several major London hospitals gaining experience in the areas of musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and hand therapy. Whilst working as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Chelsea and Westminster David successfully gained a place on the NIHR funded Masters of Research in Clinical Practice (MResCP) at St. Georges, University of London. David undertook research into the role of physiotherapy assessment in predicting running injury and was awarded the prize for Outstanding Achievement at graduation. David returned to clinical work and also worked part-time at Brunel University teaching musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He then joined St. Georges, University of London as a Senior Lecturer in 2017 and continues to teach musculoskeletal physiotherapy alongside reach methods. He also lectures on the postgraduate masters courses, focusing on the role of physical activity and exercise throughout the life span.
