Agnieszka is a qualified physiotherapist with a special interest in respiratory care, and alongside academia, she continues to work in clinical practice.
Agnieszka's professional expertise is in pulmonary rehabilitation, chronic respiratory patient management and home oxygen therapy. She completed her PhD at St. George's, University of London, and is a member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Task Force group of the HERMES educational project for specialists in respiratory physiotherapy.
Within the Faculty, Agnieszka has been involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching since 2005, as well as supervising student research projects and research methods tutorials. She is both published and reviews for peer reviewed journals.
Currently, Agnieszka contributes to cardio-respiratory teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her teaching covers cardio-respiratory physiology and pathophysiology, physiotherapeutic management of cardio-respiratory dysfunction and long-term management of respiratory patients. She also leads the Management of complex cardio-respiratory dysfunction module.
Additionally, Agnieszka teaches and tutors for the Interprofessional Foundation Programme (IFP) for undergraduate students in Biomedical Science, Diagnostic Radiography, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Healthcare Science, and Therapeutic Radiography. She also teaches various topics in respiratory care and respiratory physiotherapy to her clinical colleagues in the UK and Poland.
