Biography

Ferruccio Pelone graduated with a master's degree in Economics and Healthcare Management in 2007. He went on to do a PhD on the evaluation of technical efficiency in providing primary care, at the Department of Public Health, Population Medicine Unit, Catholic University "Sacro Cuore" (UCSC), Italy. Having completed his PhD, Ferrucio now works as a postdoctoral researcher.

Ferrucio has done research in the field of health economics and health services, including health care system performance assessment, efficiency analysis, healthcare quality indicators, systematic reviews on major public health concerns such as road traffic injury prevention and childhood obesity, care pathways as a tool for continuous quality improvement, and medical professionals' guidelines adherence.

In addition, he is active as a supervisor for junior researchers and provides lectures on topics related to his work. Since 2012, Ferrucio has worked as a Data Manager at the Italian Observatory of Health Care (Osservasalute), as well as at the website www.doveecomemicuro.it.

His current research interests include systematic reviews, fundraising, and project management for international research projects on multidisciplinary topics, combining Public Health, Health Economics and Health Services Research.
