Biography

Mary is a health services researcher and currently a senior research fellow, with a background in audit, research and development in the NHS, as well as in NHS administration and nursing.

Her research has focused primarily on new roles in the NHS workforce, both in pre-hospital emergency care and primary care. Examples include evaluations of physician assistants, emergency care practitioners and paramedics.

Mary's work is frequently mixed methods research. Supervision of masters students brings Mary into contact with a range of other topics to which her health services research and methodological experience can be applied.

Mary is an active reviewer for journals and research funding bodies.
