Biography

Jo has a passion for nursing, practice nursing and education She completed her RGN nurse training at Basingstoke and Winchester School of Nursing in 1998 and shortly afterwards moved to Oxford to work at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals' Trust.

In 1992, she embarked on a full time degree in Nursing and Education at the University of Hull. Following this, she worked in health services research until 2004 when she undertook a Return to Practice course at Buckinghamshire University and West Middlesex University Hospital NHs Trust.

Since 2007, Jo has worked in general practice nursing where she specialises in diabetes and also workforce development at North West Surrey CCG. She has completed a MSc in Evidence Based Health Care and has a love of data and statistics.

Currently, Jo is the co-module leader for the General Practice Nursing and Diabetes module and she also teaches on pre-registration modules in Person Centred Care and Complexities in Adult Nursing. She is placement lead for general practice.
