Biography






Dr John King is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Leadership in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Kingston University and St.George's, University of London. He teaches experienced healthcare professionals on the MSc Clinical Leadership programme. Prior to this he worked with Professor Annette Boaz to study research impact and implementation and as an academic engagement consultant to a number of UK universities.

John's broad area of research interest are group processes and the relationship between theory and management practice. John's PhD examined how practitioners and policy makers interact with academics and the processes and contexts which support the transfer of research into policy. His current work examines the metatheory of complex processes of relating and its implications for healthcare practitioners working within an emotionally charged and conflict-ridden NHS. John is studying toward membership of the Institute of Group Analysis.
