Biography

Steven qualified as a registered nurse in 2000. Since then he has undertaken both academic and clinical roles in the scope of emergency and acute medicine. He has also spent 5 years as a senior nursing officer with the merchant navy, working on cruise ships worldwide.

Steven's clinical interests, in addition to non-medical prescribing, include identifying and managing the deteriorating patient and resuscitation.

Steven has been an Advanced Life Support Instructor since 2009 and he currently holds a clinical role as an out-of-hours Advanced Nurse Practitioner in addition to his academic role.
