As a lecturer/practitioner, Jan joined the Faculty working across both academic and practice fields.

She works in primary care as a practice nurse/nurse prescriber with a specific interest in diabetes.

Jan's role encompasses all areas of practice nursing and she manages a team of practice nurses and healthcare assistants. She has her own caseload of patients with diabetes and works across four sites.

Her specific interest is in diabetes management in primary care, prevention and promoting patient self-management.
