Susan joined the School of Social Work in 2013 as course director for the BA (Hons) Working with Children and Young People. She is both a registered social worker and a lawyer, and teaches across both disciplines.
Susan qualified as a social worker in 1992 and specialised in work with children and families. She later studied law at Kingston University where she was awarded an LLB with first class honours, and then gained an M(Res) Law, Culture and Identity from Birkbeck College. Previously, she studied English at the University of Stirling and Social Work at the University of Aberdeen. She is also an accredited mediator.
