Leontia joined Kingston and St George's in 1996 following a range of roles in midwifery practice and education at St Helier Hospital and the Carshalton and Croydon College of Nursing and Midwifery, among others.

She is currently the assessment lead for all midwifery programmes, year one lead for the BSc (Hons) and Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery programmes and module leader for three modules on the 18-month and 3 -year midwifery programmes. She is also a personal tutor to students on both of the latter programmes.
