Biography

Lorna is a registered children's nurse with more than 30 years' experience in practice and education. She spent much of her career as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, then nurse teacher at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital before joining Kingston & St George's in 1992.

Lorna currently leads the modules Foundations Of Children's Nursing and Complexities Of Children's Nursing on the BSc (Hons) Nursing programme. She also acts as clinical liaison lecturer, monitoring and evaluating the quality of student placements in a number of locations including Mayday Hospital's Children's Unit and Neonatal Unit, The Children's Hospital at Home Team in Croydon, Royal Marsden Hospital's Children and Young Persons Unit, and the Royal Brompton Hospital's children's wards and PICU.
