Dr Michael Allen, Senior Lecturer, Education, gets published in globally top ranked science education journal. 24th February 2015 Journal of Research in Science Teaching, the top science education journal globally, being rated 2nd out of 1035 education journals in the SJR world rankings recently published Dr Michael Allen’s article entitled ‘Preschool children’s taxonomic knowledge of animal species’.
School of nursing staff contribute to two new nursing books aimed at prospective and new students. 24th February 2015 Getting Into Nursing – edited by Karen Elcock, Head of programmes, Pre-registration nursing. This book helps potential nursing students succeed in getting into nursing.
Nikki Yun, Adult nursing student’s noticeboard promoting Compassion in Care replicated across Central London Community Healthcare Trust. 17th February 2015 Nikki, 3rd year Adult nursing student developed a Compassion in Care noticeboard at Parkview Health Centre whilst on her district nursing placement. Hilary Shanahan, Compassion in Care Coordinator at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, was so impressed by her work that she has asked to replicate Nikki’s noticeboard in clinics across the Trust in order to promote the 6Cs.

School of Radiography alumna Danika Marmara appointed Director of Cancer Care Pathways for Malta. 11th February 2015 Danika studied with Kingston and St George’s for several years achieving an MSc in Medical Imaging (Mammography) in 2010.
Mary Jane Cole, Physiotherapist and Senior Lecturer, Rehabilitation sciences honoured at drinks reception at 10 Downing Street. 2nd February 2015 Mary Jane Cole made two visits to Gaza last year to support injured people during the recent conflict and provide training to local rehabilitation staff.
