COVID Update – 20/21 Academic Year (for modules commencing September 2020)

COVID Update – 20/21 Academic Year (for modules commencing September 2020)

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and associated social distancing restrictions, the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education has been planning how best to continue to educate and support its workforce development students under radically changed circumstances. We are working hard to ensure that students have the opportunity to study with us in the upcoming academic year.

Dates for our 2020/21 workforce development modules are now listed on our application portal https://applycpd.com/kusgul , on the relevant module page. Please note that due to the ongoing and evolving Covid -19 situation, these dates may be subject to change. Should we need to amend the date of a module, the Faculty will provide as much notice as is reasonably possible. Whilst we anticipate a phased return to on-site teaching delivery during the 2020/21 academic year, (i.e. face to face or a mix of blended learning (face to face and online)), University premises remain closed at the time of writing and we are unsure when they will reopen for classroom-based teaching. For this reason,it will be necessary to deliver some modules totally through online e-learning. Modules adapted for online delivery will continue to meet the same learning outcomes as the equivalent face-to-face version and course participants will receive the necessary tutorial support to complete the module and assessed elements. Our module application portal will give provisional information on the anticipated mode of delivery for each module run: online, classroom or blended. This will be confirmed when a place is offered and in the module joining instructions.

The module application portal will open on Monday 1st June 2020 .
