Registered name

When you enrol, you should ensure that your name on our student record system is the same as your passport/photo card driving licence.  Your details are sent direct from the University record system to the NCTL following enrolment for allocation of your Teacher Registration Number (TRN).

In order to meet NCTL/Ofsted regulations, you must produce all ORIGINAL certificates prior to enrolment as we have to ensure that all entry requirements have been met before applicants are registered on the course.

General information – Getting Ready

The University has a web page specifically for new students. You may find this helpful as a source of support and means of contacting other applicants.

Disqualification by Association

The DfE has a new policy on people working within the children’s workforce, potentially affecting students working with children under the age of 8. We therefore advise all Early Years Teaching and Primary Teaching applicants to check this policy.

If you think this affects you, you will need to speak to the Director of ITE on your first day.
