Please go to the School of Education (see number 4 on map) where signs will be posted to tell you which room to go to. Your first session will begin at 9.00am. Monday 12th September 2016 Time Activity 8.45 Arrival 9.00 Welcome and Introduction 10.00 Outstanding documentation check session 10.30 Break 11.00 Subject studies 13.00 Break 14.00 Presentation by local secondary headteachers 15.00 Discussion groups WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU ON THE FIRST DAY Outstanding qualification certificates – (originals only) Completed Initial School Observation booklet ENROLMENT and DBS CERTIFICATE CHECK SESSION Enrolment will take place at the University on Wednesday 14th September from 2-3pm. Details of what you need to bring with you will be communicated to you at a later date. There is a DBS certificate check session on Wednesday 14th September between 1-2pm. Please ensure you bring your DBS certificate with you. CAR PARKING If you are arriving by car please park in Car Park D where there will also be signs directing you to the relevant room. Parking restrictions are in place on site during term- time, although this will be waived during the first week of term to give you time to obtain your permanent parking pass. However, you must obtain a temporary parking pass from Reception during the first week of term as you will receive a parking ticket if you park in an unmarked or disabled bay at any time. You will be able to apply for a permanent pass once you have enrolled and you will need to produce a valid KU ID card, vehicle registration document, MOT certificate and Certificate of Insurance Please note that car park G outside of the Education Building is for staff and visitors only during the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm. Bus The 85 and K3 buses stop outside the Kingston Hill campus. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Registered name When you enrol, you should ensure that your name on our student record system is the same as your passport/photo card driving licence. Your details are sent direct from the University record system to the NCTL following enrolment for allocation of your Teacher Registration Number (TRN).
