New research project awarded by The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames

Kingston Uni research projectAcademics from the School of Social Work, Rehabilitation Sciences, Enterprise and Legal departments have won a tender issued by The Royal Borough of Kingston to examine and evaluate existing services for older people within the Kingston borough.

The project, worth £42,000, was commissioned by the Public Health Office at the Borough to address issues raised by the 2013 Public Health Review report. The project will use focus groups and one to one interviews to explore what services are most desired by the older demographic age range.

Project leaders Professor Jane Lindsay, Head of the School of Social Work and Ms Gill Mein, Senior Research Follow in Rehabilitation Sciences praised the outstanding and tireless work of the team which ensured the project was awarded to Kingston and St George’s in March 2014.
