Research centres Research centres Kingston and St George’s has three research centres committed to performing research across health, social care and education. The centres are an intrinsic part of ensuring we deliver quality education that is informed by service users, patients and the latest developments in policy. They are as follows: Centre for Applied Health and Social Care Research The Centre for Applied Health and Social Care Research addresses a broad range of issues, including how best to educate and train health and social care professionals. Centre for Public Engagement The Centre for Public Engagement was established in 2013. It aims to increase patient, public and service user involvement in health and social care service development, education and research. Institute of Child Centred Interprofessional Practice The Institute of Child Centred Interprofessional Practice was set up to help those in education, healthcare, social work, criminal justice and the police service, as well as those in the private and voluntary sectors, work together more effectively in the interests of safeguarding children.
