Ruth Harris, Professor of Nursing Practice and Innovation appointed to the national steering group of the Research Society of the Royal College of Nursing.

Ruth HarrisThe Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has over 400,000 members in the UK and represents nurses and nursing.  The Research Society and its steering group provide research leadership and expertise to support the RCN’s strategic intent to influence the development of practice and policy from an evidence base and to provide research society members with learning and development opportunities through sharing practice and experience.

Ruth Harris expressed her delight, “It is a very exciting opportunity and I’m looking forward to officially starting on 1st January 2015. That said as a member of the steering group committee I am part of the RCN Research Society International Conference Scientific Committee and so I’m working on the conference programme.”
