Since graduating from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2003, Catherine has worked as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of practice areas, but primarily with people with physical disabilities, both in Australia and in the UK. Most recently she worked with adults recovering from major traumatic incidents in the acute hospital environment, preparing her patients to cope with their injuries, recovery and rehabilitation and make the transition to home and everyday life. She is also interested in research in this area of practice. Catherine joined the FHSCE in 2016 to work on the development of the occupational therapy programme. Catherine is also a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) Practice Publications Group and is currently an accreditor for the RCOT Accreditation of Pre-registration Education programmes in the UK.
