Carol has had a long interest in practice education for student social workers, leading on issues of quality assurance and providing preparation and support for both students and practice educators. For two years Carol was Faculty Lead for Practice Education, bringing together both academic and administrative staff involved in the organisation and delivery of practice placement experience across the Faculty. This is being further developed in her role as the School Director for Practice Education for the School of Allied Health, Midwifery and Social Care.
Carol teaches on the Social Work Programmes in the areas of reflective practice and critical analysis. Her interests include enabling students to link theory to practice and encouraging and supporting interprofessional learning.
