Dale is a South African qualified social worker with generic experience there post qualifying until 1991. In England her professional experience was mainly with children and families in the Local Authority sector, until she discovered practice education in 1999.
This drew her into teaching and since 2005 she has worked independently as a practice educator, trainer, assessor and supervisor in a number of different contexts, as well as, as an academic, firstly in the FE sector and then in HE at Kingston University.
She initially taught and was a personal tutor on the BA Social Work programme, but in recent years most of her teaching has been focused at postgraduate level. Dale has led the Practice Education course for a number of years and more recently became the MA PET Course Leader. Professional development at all levels remains her primary passion.
